Chief Eyes was born through Patricia Li's lifelong love of primitive and ancient art, Native American silverwork and traditional leathercraft.
She is an artist living + working on the fringe (pun intended) in rural Andover, Connecticut. From Philadelphia to Chicago to CT, her creative path has been a winding one but always authentic. With a BFA in painting and an independent spirit, she has been self-taught in many trades; sewing, stone masonry, leather working. Each craft has deepened her appreciation for making things by hand and for the beauty found in natural materials. Her philosophy is simple: that purposeful work and being connected to the earth promotes joy and well-being.
Each Chief Eyes piece is made with intention and care, honoring time-tested techniques, the character of leather, and the belief that the objects we carry every day should be both beautiful and enduring.
